Some pics from 40-mile, Eagle... what's to come....
Still waiting for those Dawson photos... apparently Pierre & Isabelle ran into card reader problems on the computer up there, so the Dawson photos will have to wait till they get back from Dawson - bummer. But I'm sure they got some pretty cool ones!
In the meantime, Ron & Marge from Eagle have sent over photos from their neck of the woods. Thanks guys! Very cool!
According to Ron, this is around 40-mile. There are some remains of old dredges and an old post office from the mail run days too.

This is the *official* border crossing!! The Canadian Rangers are instrumental in the trail-making and trail breaking on the Canadian half of the Quest.

(in case you can't read it - mom(!) - , it goes like this: "NOW LEAVING CANADA - GOOD LUCK! FROM YOUR TRAIL CREW, THE CANADIAN RANGERS) . That is just too cool! Imagine seeing this in the middle of flippin' nowhere?
The trail heading towards Eagle, Alaska - Freakin' Beautiful!!!

The Polly Bridge, where the Taylor Highway crosses 40-mile river:

Georgeous Country!! Even better though, Ron is going to attempt to capture photos of the mushers going by. Can't wait!!
Ok, till the next #$%$# update from the Quest site...
